Abstract

Competition in the business world requires companies to be sensitive to changes in technological advances, the times and changes in the needs or tastes of their consumers. The challenge for managers is to stimulate the creativity and resilience of their employees to change in building employee performance. Employee performance is influenced by several factors such as communication and democratic leadership style. Research location at UD. Sacred Enthusiasm. The formulation of the problems and objectives in this study were to determine the effect of communication and democratic leadership styles on work performance partially and simultaneously. This research uses quantitative methods, with data collection methods by observation, interviews, literature study, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the validity test, reliability, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, t test and F test. Based on the research results, the results obtained: (1) communication has a significant positive effect on work performance, where the t value is 3.339 and sig 0.002. (2) democratic leadership style has a significant positive effect on work performance, where the t value is 3.355 and sig 0.002. (3) Simultaneously communication and democratic leadership style have a significant effect on work performance, where the F value is 26.014 and the significance is 0.000. The magnitude of the influence of the independent variables on work performance is 56.2%. Suggestions in this study are UD. Percertakan Suci is expected to guide employees and provide training to employees. UD leader. It is hoped that Sacred Attempt will always be input from subordinates in making decisions.
