Abstract

Employee performance is the result of work in quality and quantity achieved by an individual from a plan. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at Dinas Sosial Kota Denpasar. Collecting data using observation, interviews, documentation, literature and questionnaires. The number of samples is 106 employees, with saturated sampling technique. The analysis technique uses path analysis and sobel test. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that (1) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (2) job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (4) work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. positive and significant impact on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Based on the research results, it is suggested to increase work motivation and job satisfaction so that it will improve the performance of employees at Dinas Sosial Kota Denpasar.
