INTERNALISASI NILAI MODERASI BERAGAMA SEBAGAI INSTRUMEN PENCEGAHAN KONFLIK SOSIAL DI LINGKUNGAN PEMERINTAHAN

Abstract

The diversity of Indonesian society, characterized by a variety of religions, ethnicities, races, and cultures, has the potential to be an integrative strength, but it also harbors the risk of social conflict if not managed wisely. The government environment, as a representation of the state, plays a strategic role in maintaining social stability thru the strengthening of inclusive national and religious values. This study aims to analyze the internalization of religious moderation values as an instrument for preventing social conflicts within the government environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods and conceptual analysis of relevant policies, regulations, and bureaucratic practices. The study results show that the internalization of religious moderation values, which include national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and an accommodative attitude toward local culture, can strengthen an inclusive, professional, and non-discriminatory work culture. The integration of these values into internal policies, education and training for officials, exemplary leadership, and a sustainable oversight system has proven to contribute to minimizing the potential for intolerance and radicalism within the bureaucracy. The internalization of the values of religious moderation within the government environment not only serves to strengthen the ethics of the apparatus but also acts as a preventive strategy in maintaining harmony and preventing social conflicts. This effort becomes important in supporting the realization of harmonious, just, and nation-oriented governance.
