ANALISIS KINERJA RUAS JALAN BYPASS NGURAH RAI AKIBAT ADANYA PERSIMPANGAN DI JALAN MATAHARI TERBIT SANUR
Abstract
One of the intersections in Denpasar City that has traffic problems is the Matahari Terbit intersection located on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai. This study aims to determine the performance of the Ngurah Rai Bypass section due to the intersection on Jalan Matahari Rindu and to analyze the level of congestion that occurs on the road section. This research uses quantitative methods. Sample determination is carried out by observing traffic conditions along 400 meters and then recording vehicles passing according to vehicle type. The results of this study indicate that the peak hour volume analysis on weekdays or effective is 2359.35 pcu/hour and on holidays it is 2399 pcu/hour. The total weight of side obstacles is 179.7 on weekdays and 134 on holidays. The results of the road section performance analysis concerning the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997 on weekdays and holidays produced a degree of saturation (DS) value > 1, which was 1.75 on weekdays and 1.78 on holidays during peak hours. The level of service (LOS) on the Ngurah Rai By Pass road was determined in category F, namely the flow was blocked and there was a long queue of vehicles, very high traffic density and low volume after congestion for a long duration and a queue, speed and volume decreased to 0. This shows that an intersection on Jalan Pantai Matahari Terbit causes significant traffic congestion and accumulation, especially from north to south (direction of Denpasar City to Ngurah Rai Airport).Downloads
