About the Journal

Widya Kesehatan is a scientific publication that undergoes a peer-review process and that focuses on the dissemination of academic contributions in the field of complementary traditional medicine. Such contributions may include empirical research results, systematic reviews, and clinical case reports. The publication places particular emphasis on Ayurveda and the traditional Balinese medical system. The journal's scope encompasses clinical and experimental research related to traditional therapies, pharmacological studies of medicinal plants, ethnomedicine, aspects of integrating traditional health systems with modern approaches, analysis of complementary health policies, documentation of clinical cases, and the development of education and professionalism in the field of traditional health.

The Ayurveda Health Program, a division of the Faculty of Health at the Hindu University of Indonesia in Denpasar, has published the journal Widya Kesehatan, which is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the domain of traditional and complementary health. The journal is published biannually, with two issues per year (May and October editions).

Widya Kesehatan functions as an online scientific communication medium, adhering to academic integrity standards and maintaining publication quality through a rigorous selection and review process. The journal aims to establish a dialogue between traditional health systems and modern health approaches, facilitating interdisciplinary discourse among practitioners, researchers, and academics within the traditional complementary health community, particularly those related to Ayurvedic traditions and the traditional Balinese health system.
